We are the Egyptian Co. for Automation and Development "ECAD" S.A.E.,  a private sector company established in 1983. We are engaged in marketing, distribution and service of agriculture equipment.

The first sole distributorship we acquired was that of Sumitomo Corporation for Yanmar Agriculture Equipment CO. We started with introducing the highly-sophisticated rice transplant technology from Japan and head feed rice combine.

Two years later, we also obtained the sole distributorship of FIATGEOTECH for all their agriculture products with the label FIATAGRI.

Then we started introducing high quality western tractor as the market was only Romanian UTB and Belarus (cheap Eastern Europe product). The fiat 160/90 DT, 140/90 DT and 110/90 DT  become the standard for western high horse power tractor in Egypt. Then we introduced the market to power shift transmission (while many farmers still prefer the old mechanical transmission) and then we also introduced the big balers and the windrower for hay making machine.

We also started to introduce the concept of large scale mechanization by selling high hp tractors (from 360  to 550 hp) to large reclaimed desert farm. Since 1985 we have been given the distributorship of all Agriculture Machineries under the label of New Holland SPA then changed recently to CNHI ( CASE IH & NEW HOLLAND ). Ecad is part of a group of companies working in agriculture industries and land reclamation.
