Waste baling with Orkel

Orkel's industrial compactors are equipped with custom features, allowing them to apply high-density baling technology to waste and industry materials! Orkel high-density baling equipment will allow you to create dense, easy-to-handle bales from your industrial bulk material. This provides you simplified storage and cost-efficient transport.

The Orkel industrial compactors are compatible with several  waste materials. Read more about the different materials below.

RDF / SRF

Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), also known as  Solid Recovered Fuel/Specified Recovered Fuel (SRF) is one of the main ways to convert waste into energy. RDF and SRF is being exported all over the world to be used in waste-to-energy plants.

RDF baling is convenient as it reduces the volume and keeps the material sealed.

Plastic waste

Agricultural plastic as well as other types of plastic, is a convenient material to bale in terms of logistics. Baled plastics can be stored anywhere for long periods. Transport costs are lower compared to transporting bulk material, as the volume is reduced significantly.

Mixed solid waste (msw)

The Orkel agricultural compactors are suitable for baling MSW (mixed solid waste), where the material consists of irregularly shaped particles. Baling is a better option compared to landfills, which can propose a threat to the surrounding nature and communities. Read about how they replaced landfills on the islands of the Azores.

Wood shavings/saw dust

Baling is a smart and easy way to store saw dust and wood shavings. The baling process reduces the volume significantly and simplifies the storage and transport.

The Orkel compactors has also proven to bale many other waste materials efficiently, such as;

  • Bark
  • Car fluff
  • Carpet fluff
  • Insulation waste
  • Paper/plastic flock
  • Paper/cardboard
  • Peat
  • Paper reject
